Shadi obtained her M.Sc. degree in Nanotechnology- Nanophysics from University of Isfahan, Iran. Her thesis focused on synthesis of doped Li-B based nanocrystalline semiconductors for thermo-luminescence applications.  

Currently, she is a PhD student in the Materials Department, Loughborough University, as a member of Plastrax Group, active in field of environmental microplastics. Her project is focusing on Characterization of micro- and nano-plastics in complex systems. Shadi joined the research group in 2021 and her research activities are methodological approach to characterization of plastics pollution as well as identification of chemical/mechanical degradation of them.

Shadi is supervised by Dr Zhaoxia Zhou and Dr Fiona Hatton.
