I obtained my BEng (honours) degree in Materials Engineering from Loughborough University in 2019. In my final year dissertation, I focused on the effect of processing on block copolymers of polyesters for biomedical application. I have industrial experience in the recycling of thermoplastics and plastics processing development of innovative polyolefin-based materials.
I am now a PhD student in the Materials Department at Loughborough University investigating the preparation of renewably derived block copolymers and their subsequent self-assembly using RAFT polymerisation and polymer induced self-assembly (PISA). I have an avid interest in sustainability, green chemistry and misinformation identification which I hope to incorporate into my final thesis and future work.
